A month without chocolate!

Having joined Youth Options this month as Business Development Manager, Pippa has decided to lead from the front in taking part in LocalGiving's Local Hero 2019 campaign which runs from 1st-30th April. She's decided to forgo all chocolate for the month, no small thing given that it's her son's birthday for which she will be required to make chocolate cake, and of course it's Easter! She's using the campaign to kick start fundraising for the redevelopment of the former garden centre the charity has taken a lease on in Eastleigh to develop an Outdoor Learning Centre. The top 20 fundraising pages, by the number of unique online donations made in April, will be awarded a top up donation from Local Giving, so every penny donated on this page could be the one that entitles us to receive more money!

The Outdoor Learning Centre will provide dedicated space for children and young people to be outside, engage with nature, & participate in outdoor learning. Activities will support them to learn about the natural world through play, older young people to learn new skills & families to learn and play together. Participants will be encouraged to engage with nature on a range of levels supporting them to increase time outside, improve levels of mental health and wellbeing, and engage with learning.
