A group of us who are brought together by a love of walking, a passion for all things which improve the lives of people with learning disabilities in Leeds (and perhaps a tendency for hill and distance blindness) are planning to do the Lyke Wake Walk to raise funds for the Off By Heart Choir, which is a fantastic project run by YAMSEN. The walk is a 40 mile crossing of the North Yorkshire Moors from Osmotherley to Ravenscar, which we hope to complete in under 18 hours. Starting at 3am on the morning of Saturday 1st July, we hope to be completed well before last orders. Our walking group is made up of staff from Aspire Community Benefit Society and Leeds City Council’s specialist Learning Disability Care Management service along with some family and friends. The group members are: Lynn Richardson Katrina Newby Gemma Reilly Dianne Shires Claire Collins Vickie Orford Zoe Lloyd Fiona Martin Nathalie Kayij Al Rodger Dave Williams Steve Bardsley Martin Crompton Andy Sleigh-Munoz Janice Judd Neil Morrisroe Bill Dyson Carl Kemp Ian Pearson Rebeca Sinclair Adam Burton Marianne Pearce Kristina Phillips Oxana Goncharova Jo Rawnsley Gill Parkinson Andy Rawnsley With a support team of Geoff Rodger Hazel Harwood Janice Hubbard
