Sponsored dancing in the dark class
Dave is a long term friend of mine, I met Dave [ a.k.a Wiggy ] back in 1994 many years ago when we were both working on a holiday centre in Camber sands. I was the lead dancer there and Dave was the resident DJ and stage manager. After our summer season we both went our different ways, but we did manage to keep in touch. Back in 2004 Dave was suddenly struck down with Meningitis, which left him blind, his life changed from that point on. In 2012 Dave set up a local charity in Basingstoke called Helping hands for the blind. It is my way of helping from a distance so here is this years sponsor event. " Dancing in the Dark with Glowsticks." If you like the idea of a fitness class that feels more like a night out then you might like to try Glowstick dancing in the dark during the sponsored event or sponsor the ladies. Fun, easy-to-follow dance fitness routines using rave glow sticks. Firstly, let me tell you, the dark room helps! Nobody can see your dance efforts or your spare flesh trying to wobble free of its Lycra constraints. The darkness and the hand-held glow sticks all add atmosphere too. "Because it feels like a disco, it does make you work harder and, because it is dimmed lighting, people don't feel self conscious," All the way through, you are toning arms, abs and legs but above all else having fun raising money– and by the end everyone is really sweating. Please sponsor this fantastic event and help "Wiggy" help and support everyone through his charity.
