On September 25 at 3pm I am going on a Sponsored walk with songs to raise money for Apollo Music and the Angel orchestra who are both suffering from post Covid financial difficulties.Apollo Music encourages music in Islington and Hackney secondary schools by for example sending string quartets into the schools.Angel Orchestra is a local symphony orchestra in which I play and which I co chair which also raises money for Apollo Music .
We are going to sing something by each composer (though possibly not Jimi Hendrix) at each house he or she occupied in the streets around St James and Brook street.If anyone would like to join us and sing they would be very welcome.
