Life expectancy in the UK = 81 Life expectancy for a homeless woman = 43 I am Fr Gary Deighton, the Vicar of Goodrington and Collaton St Mary. During Lent, from Ash Wednesday 1st March to Palm Sunday the week before Easter (5 and 1/2 weeks), I will be sleeping on the streets as often as I can while holding down a full-time job to raise awareness of homelessness as a major social justice issue. Homelessness is a sign that there's something seriously wrong with our society. And it's a problem all of us can help sort. Help me now to do something about it. I want to raise money to help people recover from homelessness, not just provide a temporary roof over the heads of rough sleepers. I'm raising money for Shekinah Mission which works directly with rough sleepers and the homeless, providing accommodation and recovery services locally. Homelessness. Let's work together to make a difference. Please - make a donation now.
Donation from The Exeter with best wishes from all the staff - suggested by Ted & Brenda Jones.
