I cannot thank 'The Healthy Living Club' (HLC) enough for all the genuine support & friendship they have showered on both my aunt & my father over several years when they have really needed it. Through this wonderful project & its dedicated volunteers they found a new sense of fun, friendship & respite from the everyday stresses, chronic strain & frustration brought by this cruel disease, dementia, to sufferers & Carers alike. This is a small charity, existing hand-to-mouth, yet a real life-line to so many, & this is why I have ditched my 4 wheels for 2 this summer & am cycling to & from work each day for 3 months (May, June, July), covering 40-50 miles/wk. I haven't missed a day so far & it's a real delight to me (yes, even thro' one thunderstorm!). I am so grateful for any sponsorship you can give me, however small.
