We are so lucky to have a fantastic playing field here in Guilsborough (found next to Guilsborough Academy) which is used by a large number of people for several recreational activities. It is an incredible asset, which is used as a great open space and sports facility, and recently coming into its own during the difficult, Covid-19 times. The facilities include a pavilion, a cricket pitch, 2 football pitches, cricket nets and sports fitness equipment all in a beautiful and tranquil setting. The Guilsborough Playing Field Association pay for the upkeep of the field, and the pavilion, through income from the sports clubs that use the facility, but with the majority of moneys used raised through private fundraising. We receive no regular council or public funding.
It costs £12,000 each year to maintain the Playing Field, of which £9,000 needs to be raised each year, and this is where we need your help please!
