Why the community needs us

This project addresses a number of the important isues, firstly, it aims to provide a facility where local people will come together to tackle existing gaps in service provision, a holiday and after school scheme for children and young people. Also the volunteering opportunities offered by the activities and the IT training will enable active citizenship and also opportunities for skills development and training. Thirdly, the sporting activities will improve the health of the residents.

Our impact on the community

Older people will have improved quality of life through reducing their sense of isolation and increasing their social interaction via a weekly Luncheon Children will attend play scheme activities, leading to their improved physical health, skills and involvement in the community. Older people will enhance their computer skills, which will have a positive effect on their independence and confidence and address their social isolation. Residents will improve their physical health and wellbeing.
