The objects of the Association are 'to promote, encourage and assist school sailing in the geographical county of Devon, including Plymouth and Torbay'. The Association maintains fleets of sailing dinghies for the use of schoolchildren of all ages and also keeps a fleet of motorised support boats that are used in the provision of safety and on-the-water coaching. PDSSA warmly enourages adults, school children, young people the opportunity to experience and develop accessible waterpsort activities based at the Barbican, Plymouth. With growing public concerns regarding the lack of youth particpation in Plymouth and their subsequent visibility, the PDSSA encourage team working and social development.

With the range of equipment and instructor teams, we can enrich young peoples values and develop their team skills, individual responsibilites and local environmental impact. PDSSA will involve young people and encourage them to make an active choice towards watersports, with the aim of furthering their personal development.
