Reaching and supporting people at risk of isolation and filling the gap which statutory organisations do not meet. Providing work experience placements and opportunities for schools, colleges, universities via local agencies for unemployed persons.
Why the community needs usAn expansive range of courses (ACRMT's development in this area has been in response to course surveys and requests from individuals, groups and partner organisations). A radio station (Acacia Radio is a project developed by and run by volunteers through a Community Association as an aid to provide opportunities for local broadcast enthusiasts who have attended the charity's courses, to develop their skills and gain more practical experience). Modern facilities for room and venue hire.
Our impact on the communityIndividuals working confidently, effectively and independently in life, their communities and work. Progress in training, education and employment. Reinforcing existing links with partner organisations and developing new ones. Increasing motivation and preparation for seeking employment. Enhancing employability.
