Why the community needs usA range of support services are available for people in later life and their carers across Norfolk, including: Respite and Day Services for service users with differing needs; an information, advice and advocacy service; specialist services for people with dementia and their carers; a range of befriending services; providing support to people in their own homes with personal administration and financial management; support to groups and committees; and consulting and campaigning.
Our impact on the communityDuring 2009-2010: Our Information and Advice Service helped 6,559 people, Benefit Advice service 839 people, Money Matters (help managing finances) 416 people, Advocacy Service 186 people, Care Home Advocacy Service 285 people and our Bereavement Advice Service 42 people. Our Community Support Centres provided 12,703 days/nights of 24-hour respite care, 7,214 mobile meals, and 11,575 days of supported day activities. Our dementia service helped 108 people, and our befriending helped 153 people.
