To promote, support and encourage voluntary, recereational and leisure activities designed to enhance the social, educational, cultural and spiritual life of the inhabitants of Durham City and the neighbourhood.

Alington House Community Association has been serving Durham since 1948 and offers a unique setting for a variety of groups who meet here, From cultural, music and dance to educational courses, Alington House also offers valuable volunteer and training opportunities to people from all walks of life and supports the most deprived members of our community.
