We are a voluntary-managed provider of high quality care and education for children aged two to five living across a wide rural area in East Sussex. Working in partnership with parents, the local community, schools, businesses and local authorities, we provide a safe, warm and stimulating environment where children from all backgrounds feel safe, happy and confident in their surroundings. We offer a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

We cover a wide rural area of East Sussex and provide vital childcare services for families in the area, particularly working parents. We take children from all backgrounds and abilities, providing individualised care and ensuring their distinct needs are met. As a registered charity we keep our fees low to enable as many parents as possible to access our services. We provide 5 part time jobs and regularly welcome work experience students and those studying childcare.

In the current challenging economic circumstances we find that more and more parents need to work. Accessing high quality, local care and education for their children is essential to enabling them to work. APS currently supports around 25 rural families and demand for places and for our breakfast and lunch clubs is continuing to rise. Our children gain essential personal, social and emotional skills in a happy, caring environment giving them confidence to move forward socially and educationally.
