Help homeless unemployed young people whose lives are going nowhere to gain the motivation, confidence and skills they need to get a job and accommodation and to be able keep them. Amber's residential centres offer these young people a fresh start; a chance to sort out problems, build self-confidence, gain practical skills and qualifications and generally acquire the know-how for independent living and work - and more than 78% do so.
Why the community needs usAmber is helping to reduce the social and financial impact of homelessness, crime and unemployment in the community. Importantly it is giving marginalised unemployed young people hope and the opportunity to lead fulfilling independent lives so they can contribute and be a part of their community.
Our impact on the communityAmber helps nearly 200 young people every year to transform their lives, and over 78% successfully do so. Of this number 56% leave into work or college and 22% achieve a major personal goal and they all leave to their own accommodation.
