Join our CEO as she embarks on an epic trek of 100km through dunes, over stony plains and along dry river beds across desert to raise vital funds for our fabulous Swansea Children’s Charity, making every penny count and every step meaningful.

Faith in Families and Tribal Tracks has partnered up to provide you with the opportunity of a lifetime! The incredible Wadi Rum 100km trek: a fabulous 5 -day challenge trek in the magnificent Wadi Rum desert, Jordan.

Faith in Families want Swansea City to be a great place for everyone to work, live, grow and play. We want every child to have not only the chance to be their best but the opportunity to do so – whether that is to play football, cook amazing meals, create the best new hairstyle, be the most compassionate nurses, the next future politicians or business leaders in our city.

Challenge Highlights:

The trek follows old shepherd paths, weaving its way west across desert wadis and over striped granite mountains, caused by basalt dyke intrusions. At the end of the trek, we pay a visit to the ancient city of Petra.

-Trekking between 22 – 25km per day in the majestic Wadi Rum (a World Heritage site);
-Finding dramatic, hidden desert scenery, including sandstone domes, rock formations, and granite and basalt striated mountains;
-Experiencing the Bedouin culture and cuisine;
-Wild camping beneath spectacular desert skies;
-Summiting Um Ad Dami, Jordan’s highest mountain;
-Exploring the ancient city of Petra.

The dates for the Wadi Rum Challenge are Saturday 28 October – Saturday 4 November 2023.

The maximum group size for each trek is 18 people. The minimum group size will be 10 people.
