Volunteers have started work on the next section of derelict canal in Shropshire - but need funds to carry on.

The canal is now open to Crickheath and Schoolhouse Bridge is due to be finished in the autumn so it is important that work parties can press on to rewater the next dry section.  Without help they will have to slow or stop. Your gift will help them to carry on - thank you.

We have launched this nationwide public appeal to raise £250,000 to help provide materials and equipment hire for the volunteers. The work can be done in stages. The next one is between Crickheath Bridge and Schoolhouse Bridge; then on to Waen Wen where the canal widens in Pant, not far from the border with Wales.

With your help, we can achieve wonders and speed up the restoration.
