We're urgently raising money to stage our community play 'Are You Going To The Marine?'. It's to celebrate one hundred and twenty five years of the Marine. It is written by screenwriter Andrew Rattenbury, our patron and local to Lyme. Most local societies are participating - Lyme School of Ballet Lyme Regis Panto Society, The Marine Players, B Sharp, Lyme Regis Musical Theatre and Saxminster. The cast and crew are made up of 100 local people.

How the funding will be spent

We'd like to raise £3000 in addition to the £3000 that we have already raised. The money will be used for various important aspects including to pay for costumes (£200), hire fees for rehearsal space (£1000), marketing, props (£100), lighting (£700), and set (£450).

How this will benefit the community

For the first time in the history of the Marine and Lyme Regis, all the town's cultural societies will be coming together.The impact will improve the lives and well-being of people in the community. This production will foster new community relations - whether taking part or being in the audience. The main benefit will be huge enjoyment for 100s of people!
