Frome Children's Festival has been running since 2014 and this year is our very exciting 10th anniversary. We want to make it an extra special party - a celebration of all our previous successes and we need your help to make that happen! 

This year we've found it especially hard to secure funding for the festival so we're reaching out to our local community for help in making this our best party yet - and we can't do that without you!

Highlights from previous years have included the adventurous zips wires across the river, fantastic sounds from Frome Street Bandits, Frome Samba and Rocktapus, amazing theatre from Little Bulb, Les Enfant Terribles and Noisy Oyster, incredible local groups including Open Storytellers, The Pod and Shared Earth Learning.  

We've even had a giant turtle, music-making for participants - in a professional studio, green screen and special effects filming, a sensory tent, wonderful all-family model-making workshops from Aardman and of course the Frome Dragon!  Without your donations we can't manage to make this amazing all-welcome, free, day-long event the biggest party yet -  and that's what we're all hoping for!

The festival is open to all and we work hard to make it as accessible as possible so that as many people as possible in our local community can attend, including accessible dance from Flamingo Chicks, wheelchair basketball from Nova Sports and Coaching, and theatre performances with signing for those who are hard of hearing. We've even had a zip-wire with an adapted harness - opening up opportunities to fly over the river!  With support workers available during the day, fast passes for children with additional needs and easy to read signage, the event offers something which is as accessible as possible for the whole community. Your support will allow everyone to enjoy this valuable opportunity.

We're designing and delivering the event together with local young people so that it's just how they want it to be. They've already chosen activities and are busy working on publicity for the event, learning valuable skills as they go. With your support, young people can also run workshops at the event and deliver something we can all be proud of.
