About the appeal

Our wonderful counsellor Claire is doing some amazing fundraising for us:

'I’m taking part in the 2024 Windsor Triathlon (Sprint) on Sunday 9th June. Swim 750m (yes, in the Thames!) Cycle 22k Run 5k (yes, around the castles and up that big hill!)
I’m no athlete, this triathlon will be a challenge for me. It’s been a great motivator to get out training in all weather. My hope is simply to complete the course and raise money for Kingston Bereavement Support. A charity that is very close to my heart.

In 2020 after a bumpy year of Covid lockdowns and personal challenges I decided to retrain as a counsellor. In 2021 I started placement at Kingston Bereavement Support working with children, young people and adults coping with bereavement and loss. Like many small local charities the service makes a massive difference to people who need support. It’s free at point of access, relying on donations to keep going.
