Revive Cardigan’s Giant Lantern Parade by supporting Small World Theatre and joining a local fundraising campaign. In the run up to the winter festivities, plans to reinstate the parade on 8th December are afoot, with the launch of a new public fundraising appeal, the backing of Cardigan Town Council, Ceredigion County Council and Leafed Through community bookshop.

Cardigan-based Small World Theatre is renowned for its community work. Following a tradition that they began in 2016, Small World Theatre will create a new ‘Fanastical Beasts’ themed parade with giant illuminated lantern structures, free lantern making workshops for families, sessions with schools and other local community groups.

In its fourth year in 2019, the attraction brought 13,500 people to town to enjoy and take part in the festivities. This year the team is determined to revive the parade and offer families the chance to be part of an inclusive, exciting event that brings people together.

In 2020 we launched our first Localgiving fundraiser to support working with families, providing creative workshops and play for young people who were affected by the pandemic. Now we ask for your help with our second fundraiser so we can restore Cardigan’s spectacular Giant Lantern Parade to the town.

If we raise £1,750 through donations and Gift Aid, Localgiving will match fund £250 to reach our target!

We are so grateful to those who can support by donating and helping with our fundraising appeal. Without you we will not be able to create this year’s proposed parade”.

Rhowch ailfywyd i Barêd Llusernau Anferthol Aberteifi ac ymuno yn yr ymgyrch godi arian lleol. Wrth i ni baratoi ar gyfer dathliadau’r gaeaf, mae cynlluniau i atgyfodi’r parêd ar 8 Rhagfyr ar waith, gyda lansiad apêl gyhoeddus i godi arian, gyda chefnogaeth Cyngor Tref Aberteifi, Cyngor Sir Ceredigion a siop lyfrau gymunedol Leafed Through.

Gan ddilyn traddodiad a gychwynnwyd ganddynt yn 2016, bydd Theatr Byd Bach yn creu parêd o dan y thema ‘Angenfilod Anghyoel’ gyda chreadigaethau llusernau golau anferthol, gweithdai creu llusernau am ddim i deuluoedd, sesiynau gydag ysgolion a grwpiau cymunedol eraill.

Yn ystod ei bedwaredd flwyddyn yn 2016, denodd y digwyddiad 13,500 o bobl i’r dref i fwynhau a chymryd rhan yn y dathliadau. Eleni mae’r tîm yn benderfynol o adfywio’r parêd a chynnig cyfle i deuluoedd i fod yn rhan o ddigwyddiad cynhyrfus, cynhwysol sy’n tynnu pobl ynghyd.

Yn 2020 fe lansion ni ein hymgyrch codi arian Localgiving cyntaf i gefnogi gweithio gyda theuluoedd, gan gynnig gweithdai a chwarae creadigol ar gyfer pobl ifanc a effeithiwyd gan y pandemig. Heddiw rydym ni’n gofyn am eich help gyda’n hail ymgyrch codi arian fel bod modd i ni adfer y Parêd Llusernau Anferthol gwych i’r dref.

Rydym ni mor ddiolchgar i’r rhai sy’n medru cefnogi dryw gyfrannu a helpu gyda’n hapêl codi arian. Hebddoch chi, fyddwn ni ddim yn medru creu’r parêd eleni.
