We help local people to deal with the issues and problems they face in their lives. We collect evidence about people's problems and use it to change the policies and practices that affect people's lives, both locally and nationally.

We help all people locally who are in need of advice, including the most vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of our community.To encourage all local people to use our services our advice is always free, confidential, impartial and independent.

In 2010/11 we helped nearly 4,000 Ashfield residents with over 19,000 seperate problems.As part of this work we helped local people to deal with £14.1 million of debt and helped to secure £1.2 million of welfare benefits.
