Bath 18+ Gateway Club is a social and leisure group for people with learning disabilities. Our members meet once a week taking an active role in all decision making. The club provides friendship and social opportunities within the Bath area helping every member to reach their individual potential. The club enables them to meet and develop friendships and skills, be independent from their families and have social experiences with their peers within a supported environment.

Adults with learning disabilities, and their families, are at a considerable risk of social exclusion and isolation. Our members benefit from having regular social contact both within their weekly club nights in the community and holidays away. For many members our group is the only social opportunity available to them. The parents and carers also benefit, especially the holidays which brings a much needed break and time to spend alone with other members of their family.

Our members who are both vulnerable and socially isolated develop friendships, gain confidence, self esteem and learn new skills. The club enables the members to be a part of the local community making a real difference to their lives
