We want to empower the most vulnerable in our society - victims of Domestic Abuse, Human Trafficking, Honour Based Violence, Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation, Sexual Grooming and Violent Extremism - through education and counselling, and encourage meaningful social change. Jeena works with NGO's and government and international agencies to help safeguard women and girls from abuse and our helpline will provide invaluable assistance, in particular to people who have come from abroad.

Jeena International has helped many women flee Domestic Abuse, helped a Human Traffic victim return home, raised awareness of women's rights and the importance of self-respect. We've also produced a film on Sex Selection abortions, a practice that fundamentally devalues girls, but more work needs to be done within the Asian community, given the status women feel they gain if they have a son, and the other social issues that result from this unlawful practice, such as mental health problems.

By raising awareness of women's human rights and their rights as women in the UK, involving them in the political process and giving them tools and resources, we can encourage vulnerable women to become proud and proactive citizens and good role models, espcially for their own children. Immigrant women can and should be helped to find access to healthcare, education, other services and employment, because whatever a woman's ethnicity or nationality, she is a valuable member of our society.
