Bramley Carnival aims to bring the community of Bramley and surrounding areas together,creating peace harmony and enjoyment for all. Our aim is to improve social cohesion and encourage social inclusion. We help to promote equality and diversity within the community. Bramley Carnival also aims to bring out the talents of Bramley people promoting self identity and respect for the community of Bramley. The event also helps to promote local businesses , charities , by offering stall space and allows local dance troupes, and bands to show off their talents. Bramley Carnival is a historic annual one day event due to take place on Sunday 15th July 2012. This years event sees the celebrations of both the Olympics and the Queens Diamond Jubilee. We are planning a mini Bramley Olympics to include the old school favourites such as the egg and spoon race, sac races, mums and dads races etc. Entertainment from musicians,dancers and gymnasts, a Queens Jubilee Street Party Marquee are planned.

Information and communication technologies can underpin and aid the activities taking place within a community, but they do not replace them and are no substitute for them. Community networks are primarily social networks which harness technology to provide an additional means of communication between individuals/groups/organisations, etc.. Community networks can facilitate the sharing of information between organisations, and thereby encourage co-operation and collaboration between them.

Our project encourages volunteers to work along side qualified staff who will give guidance and traning in all areas of event field management. This will help to give local people oppertunities for work experience and skills development. By allowing local talent in the form of dancing,singing and playing of music, will help to enhance self confidence and skills for future performances and everyday life. Our event will also encourage local people to become both p[hysically and mentally active.
