We work with people facing multiple disadvantages including poverty, disability, mental health issues, unemployment and many other challenges. By providing non-judgemental support, training and services we help people to realise their true potential, access opportunities and improve their overall well-being.
Why the community needs us
By providing a range of services including one-to-one mentoring for young disadvantaged people, free training and a safe and inviting community centre we can help people overcome almost any challenge. Whether someone needs support in finding employment, if someone is feeling lonely and needs a safe space to socialise or even if someone needs to drop in to get advice from our qualified support workers, there is no problem too big or too small for us to help with.
Our impact on the community
Since our opening in 2002 we have helped thousands of people to overcome challenges and access opportunities they thought were simply out of reach. Our mentoring programme has helped to boost the confidence and skills of hundreds of disadvantaged young people; our job search support programme is accessed every single day by Bridgend residents and our community centre provides support for over 600 people every year and we are as determined as ever to help even more people.
