We are an established club of over 103 years old, but the clubhouse will not 'stand' for much longer. Members' fund-raising has brought nearer the dream of a brick built clubhouse with new fitted kitchen and (inside!) toilets to produce a facility for bowlers and social members. The new building will be fit for the 21st Century with full access for able bodied and disabled people, which will make this an excellent venue for hire at affordable rates for local community groups and individuals.

As Buckingham town continues to expand, in recent years the clubhouse has been used more extensively by members and non-members for activities other than bowls. Although primarily a summer activity, social events such as quiz evenings, themed 'meals', bingo are open to all and continue throughout the year. Low cost activities and social events are well attended and community groups and individuals are able to hire the clubhouse for events at affordable rates.

It is hoped that when the new building is complete to increase the usage of the clubhouse by community groups previously limited by the lack of disabled access (no ramp), and outside toilets (not ideal on a cold winter's night!) Fund-raising will be on-going but this is through social events open to all and has the added benefit of bringing together members of the club and the community. Many people live alone and coming together for sport or social occasions really enhances lives.
