We are a local charity passionate about Cambridge & the surrounding area. We're building our environmental education programme, providing events & activities for schools, groups, families & individuals & positively influencing planning developments. We champion the protection and enjoyment of green open spaces within & around Cambridge & manage our own public green spaces - Wandlebury Country Park (WCP) & Coton Countryside Reserve(CCR).We protect & manage the Leper Chapel and two local Mills.
Why the community needs usWCP and CCR are open all year round for everybody to enjoy recreation & nature conservation free of charge. (Parking charges apply to non members at WCP) We run year-round events at Wandlebury where children & adults can engage with local wildlife & landscape and take part in a variety of activities. Our Schools Programme, which has run for over ten years, attracts around 4,000 school children a year. There are free, volunteer-led weekly Healthy Walks with around 2,000 participants each year.
Our impact on the communityWith your support we can make a difference. We are finding out which species live on our green spaces so that we can help them thrive. Help us to help nature and maintain our properties and green spaces for generations to come.
