The provision of a weekday delivered hot meal at an affordable price to the elderly and infirm in and around the Cambridge area who cannot provide one themselves and have nobody to do it for themselves. CAMMS caters for a wide range of dietary need and, hence the menu, which is on a rolling basis, is varied. A telephone call before noon on a weekday from a new clients or other referrer (e.g. doctor, hospital, family) secures a main meal and sweet delivered to your door the next day.

The benefits of the CAMMS service are much more than just the delivery of a daily hot meal. Carers are given a respite with one less task to perform each day. It also provides a daily contact for the clients and, hence, peace of mind for their relatives. Occasional crises are reported immediately to the CAMMS office for relaying as required.

We aim to deliver a hot meal on a daily basis whatever the weather or other untoward circumstance. Since our inception we have missed one weekend delivery due to severely inclement weather but all the clients and/or relatives were informed in due time.
