The Carlbeck Centre provides facilities for and promotes social, recreational and educational activities for all members of the local community and surrounding area. The charity aims to provide a focal point in an isolated rural community where folk can meet and interact and benefit by both giving and receiving mutual support.

The Carlbeck Centre is the only meeting place in this community, which has no pub, no shop and no post office. This welcoming and cosy building is available for private functions as well as workshops, meetings and regular groups. Users find like minded people with whom they can socialise, learn new skills and enjoy many crafting opportunities. All age groups are welcome and for some it is the first step to rejoining groups and making new friends in the area.
