Our vision is to inspire young people in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas to fulfil their potential by providing easy access to recreational, educational and personal development opportunities in an informal atmosphere. This is carried out primarily through the provision of open access youth facilities based on converted double-decker buses, but also includes support for local communities developing and running their own building based facilities. These facilities provide a safe meeting place for young people staffed by experienced and trained youth workers, where they can take part in positive activities that accept them as they are, encourage social interaction and challenge their understanding.
Why the community needs usCambridgeshire is predominantly a rural area with poor transport links for young people. The charity's unique converted double deckers provide a vital place for those young people to access the services they need.
Our impact on the communityQuotes from Parish Councils: "This unique mobile facility has proven to be a huge success in our village, providing modern facilities for 12-18 year olds to use and exciting activities for them to take part in, everyone in the village loves everything about it." "The parish council fully supports this vital and much valued facility which offers a safe, supportive environment for our young people to meet."
