Colchester Community Voluntary Services exists to help charities, voluntary groups, community groups and social enterprises to operate effectively. We help over 300 organisations to raise funds, to manage their accounts, to find volunteers, to promote the work that they do and find out about any services that can help them day to day. We also manage Colchester Transport and Shopmobility, providing car and minibus transport and electric scooters to people who require mobility support.

When an organisation has a question or needs help, we are here. Our work assists charities and community groups to continue to work for the benefit of their service users and clients. Colchester Transport and Shopmobility helps vulnerable adults who are unable to access public transport.

Since April 2011, CCVS has helped groups to raise in excess of £20,000. Staff have assisted over 70 groups to improve or maintain their accountancy procedures, and over 100 people have accessed training courses to improve their skills. Between April 2010 and March 2011, nearly 24,000 trips were provided by Colchester Transport and Shopmobility.
