All fundraisers

To make this part of north Sheffield a lovely place to live and enjoy our wonderful park. We also put on free monthly events and this year have managed to get some funding from the Big Lottery for Activity Sheffield to bring their Climbing Tower, Zorb Balls, Boxing Ring and blow-up Football for our young people. All our events this year have been a great success due to the weather being so lovely and warm.

Why the community needs us

Provide recreation and health benefits for all the community. Contribute to the wellbeing of Chapeltown residents. When we started the park had not been renovated for years due to Sheffield City Council's lack of funding. There was a very old playground with just 2 bits of play equipment left as it was dangerous for children to use the swings on concrete bases and all the broken things such as a lovely roundabout had been taken away. We have since fundraised and got a brand new playground.

Our impact on the community

We managed to obtain the brand new natural playground in Chapeltown Park in 2012 and now hold lots of free events. We work closely with all local schools and organisations and are an integral part of the town. This year we have obtained Big Lottery funding which has enabled us to put on attractions for older children as they keep telling us that "there is nothing to do!" These include events with climbing tower, zorb balls, boxing ring and lots of footy and BMX/wheelie training.
