Founded in 1993 by public subscription, the Trust purchased and refurbished the redundant historic Ebenezer Chapel in the heart of Edenbridge, reopening it as The BRIDGES Centre in 1995 for the benefit of everyone. Building a welcoming, inclusive and sustainable community is central to BRIDGES' purpose. Trustees seek grants, sponsorships and donations to enable us to provide a variety of projects that enrich lives, address unmet local needs, develop personal skills and encourage participation in the life of the town. In these difficult times, the Centre is needed more than ever & staff and volunteers are trying to help people within our community who may be struggling with lack of food, debt problems and mental health issues. 'Hope for Our Community' Appeal Update
Dear Supporter
We have been deeply moved by the very generous support that you and other donors have given to BRIDGES through our recent Hope For Our Community Appeal campaign. On behalf of the Trustees, staff, volunteers and all of the visitors to BRIDGES, a heartfelt thank you.
The Appeal raised donations in excess of £9,000 online, which is further boosted by offline cash donations, Giftaid and matching of online donations by Localgiving. This incredible sum provides us with a much needed financial boost which will help us with our current work as well as develop programmes to support vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community.
Over the past 25 years, BRIDGES has become an established feature on Edenbridge High Street. Your continued support will enable us to achieve further successes, so please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and drop in to the Centre for a coffee or a bite to eat. You might also consider joining us as a volunteer in the Community Café, if you have a few hours to spare each month? Please do get in touch. Thank you.
