We are a local regeneration charity with a mission to bring about positive change for people who are most disadvantaged in the community. Established in 2005, today we are a 'local champion' in developing strong, creative programmes that promote learning, employability and enterprise. We help disadvantaged communities improve their prospects and life-chances. This includes people who are homeless, long-term unemployed, older people and young people who are not in education, work or training.
Why the community needs usSince 2005, Vital Regeneration has reached more than 7,500 people living in London's most deprived neighbourhoods. We help unemployed people: whether helping a young person secure an apprenticeship or a homeless person to find a job, training course or volunteer opportunity. We help young people who are not in employment, education or training to improve their confidence and belief in their abilities, develop skills for life, to enhance their future prospects, employability and life-chances.
Our impact on the communityLast year, 120 homeless people in London increased their chances of finding work and a route out of homelessness. We helped 150 young people and 180 long-term unemployed people through one-to-one advice and guidance, to secure apprenticeships, work, training or volunteering. More than 200 disadvantaged young people improved their prospects through taking part in creative learning activities.
