We provide archery training time and coaching to students at University of Aberdeen, Robert Gordon's University and NESCOL, and staff and alumni of University of Aberdeen. We provide all equipment, a newly formed beginner's course and training premises and time for experienced archers, with a friendly club atmosphere, opportunities to compete in the sport and social events to wind down and build our supportive team attitude.

Why the community needs us
We work hard to provide training time, equipment, coaching, and opportunities to compete for our community of archers. We aim to help out at local clubs and be involved in the wider archery community, introducing students from all over the world to our beloved sport. One of the best things about archery is how inclusive it is as a sport, fundamentally. Being different is not a problem for us, physical differences or mental differences can be worked around and everyone is welcome in our club.  We not only provide the opportunity to take part in an ancient sport to anyone willing to learn but we fill the gap in the student sport community for sports teams you can join without prior experience.  We take our archers from wherever they are at, whether that be never held a bow or been shooting for several years, and help them to progress in the sport in whatever way they like.

Our impact on the community
The ways in which AUAC impacts our community are multiple.  We provide an opportunity for sport and exercise, the opportunity to be part of a team, a safe place to take up something new, a supportive environment to get more involved in organisational aspects with our many committee roles, One of the best things members have said they get out of being a part of AUAC is the confidence it builds in them.  We are supportive of all of our members equally and try our best to help each of them blossom: in technique, in competition nerve, socially and personally.
