Action West London (AWL) helps disadvantaged individuals change their lives through Education,Training and Employment. Having a job or being self-employed gives hope and pride to individuals. Barriers to employment may include education, language, culture, criminal record, lack of family support or limited awareness of what is possible. AWL's Mission is to provide as many opportunities as possible for disadvantaged individuals to realise their potential. We welcome your support. Thank you.

Why the community needs us
AWL works with 1000 people each year. We help young people in trouble, lone parents, older people, people with disabilities and mental health difficulties, ex-offenders, refugees and ethnic minorities. We help improve their self-confidence and motivation, English and basic IT skills, and ability to get education, training and employment to improve their and their childrens' lives. We also run Acton street Market 4 days a week and a Recruitment agency focussed on social mobility and diversity .

Our impact on the community
Leroy,22, moved from prison to winning national Adult Learner of the Year Award; Lukas won ESF London Achiever of the Year Award ; our street Market won national DTA award for 'Excellence in community cohesion and enterprise'; Mick, aged 55 got a Job after 10 years of depression and unemployment; Huda learnt to use a computer for the first time and found a job; Yasmine learnt English and integrated into the community. We won West London Business 2019 community investment award.
