Act On It's purpose is education and development. We're on a mission to use drama with non-specialists to better engage, teach, communicate ideas and build future skills. Act On It is an optimistic social enterprise and all proceeds are re-invested in the company's original and pioneering work. We are good at what we do and are nice along the way. Throughout the pandemic we have continued Acting On It and found new ways to connect with our groups. Drama-based activity online is proving a great way for young people to enjoy social interaction, develop their employability skills and express their hopes and concerns.

Why the community needs us
Act On It supports hard to reach groups to engage with education and achieve the skills and qualifications they need. Our funded programmes target the most marginalised. We invest in people and our approach relies on effective teaching and training, rather than expensive resources. We work with communities to create their own learning resources that reflect their lived experience.

Our impact on the community
"Act On It changes lives - fact". Amongst last year's highlights... Act On It engaged 1,683 beneficiaries, with 56 learners on longer programmes and previously not in education, employment or training achieving a total of 89 qualifications. We also delivered training to 153 professionals working in education that improved their confidence to embed drama-based strategies across the curriculum to improve the spoken language and achievement of marginalised children.
