The Workshop uses the Arts as a means to provide opportunities for young people, enabling them to develop essential skills to enrich their lives. Through the Arts we develop confidence in young people and instil a sense of self worth and self belief."The Workshop is a place where you are allowed to be yourself. It is not a place where you have to prove you belong there. Your presence is all that's required. Who you are is more meaningful to us than who you are pretending to be" -Mike Ward
Why the community needs usThe Workshop is an inclusive organisation that welcomes young people from all social and economic backgrounds. We have provision to make our services available for families that may find term fees difficult to raise. This enables The Workshop to help break down social barriers and bridge gaps between communities.
Our impact on the communityThe confidence, self esteem and skills that our young members gain from attending The Workshop give them a stronger foundation to move into their future, whatever path they choose. Over the last 30 years over 1000 young people have benefited from The Workshop's unique philosophy 'How many people are happier because you were born?'
