ACT Training Services, Skills Training Centre Hackney London, People will achieve - given the chance
ACT Training Services was established in 2006 to support residents of deprived communities to empower them and help them to boost their personal and professional growth and to break the back of poverty and their dependency on state benefits. The mission of the organisation is: "to inspire achievement of people through the provision of quality training, enabling them to develop skills that employers value". Using our innovative educational resources we support disabled people and their families. Why the community needs us
We work with the local community to enable them aim higher and take steps to enhancing their personal and professional development. We help our clients to gain qualifications and develop relevant skills and competencies in order to boost their marketability. We help them to appeal to employers and for those who aspire to running their own business we provide training, information and useful progression routes. We also foster inclusion through education, of those with cognitive disabilities. Our impact on the community
In the last three years we have trained over 2000 people, many of whom have gone on to greater things. Our clients also develop interpersonal skills to enable them to survive in the contemporary business workplace. In this regard it is particularly rewarding to observe the rapid pace of growth that our clients experience, once they have the necessary tools. We work with partners to provide them with opportunities and provide an after care service that ensure that they stay on track.
ACT needs volunteers who are able to assist in our communications, marketing and publicity strategy.
