The John Chard-Young Fund
We work with many young people who though lack of funds, support or social interaction do not have the opportunity to socialise or develop life skills. Through our volunteering program we can support young people into training, through work experience or through the sports to socialise better building their confidence and self-esteem so they feel they can achieve better and continue to develop their lives for the future.
Why they need our service John's fund was set up when he passed away aged 24 years in September 2010. His fund is used to identify young people with special needs at the facility who need that little bit of extra help to develop their sporting and life skills.
Plan and expected results To give people the confidence and ability to develop life skills, socially engage in structured and enjoyable activities with other people at the facility and within the community.
