Give opportunities for girls and ladies to enjoy football in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment.

We are community focused ladies and girls football club promoting girls and ladies of all ages to either start playing football or to continue to play football. At present we have under 10's, under 11's, under 12's, under 15's and a ladies team which we are very proud of since we only starting in 2019. We are planning to run as many mini and junior teams as interest, and volunteers will allow, and should have an under 7's, 8's and 9's up and running soon.

Why the community needs us
As an area which is one of the 30% most deprived in the country as per the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation, access for young people to community groups and sport groups can be very limited, based on many factors. We want to remove the barrier for local (and further afield) girls to be able to play football by providing it to them for as little a cost as possible and within their community. We want them to then feel a connection to their locality and have pride and love for their town.

Our impact on the community
After attracting nearly 90 girls to football in only since starting, we want to get as many girls playing football as possible. There are over 4,500 girls aged 6-16 in the area, only 2-3% of these currently play football. Funding will enable us get the necessary equipment, hire of facilities and get our volunteers on the necessary coaching courses. It will also allow us to attract more players to football by holding drop in sessions at local schools and also other community groups.
