Age UK Barrow and District is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for 30 years. We have 20 dedicated staff and over 100 volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in Barrow and Furness.
We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.
We provide an information and advice service which aims to provide support and advice on a variety of different issues including welfare benefits support and fuel poverty. The service is one of the charities most popular and for good reason. We have helped hundreds of elderly members of our community receive financial support and other forms of practical help such as blue badges.
Our handyperson - this service offers a reliable, affordable service for everyday repairs and maintenance around your home.
Nail Cutting Service - providing nail cutting, foot care service for all age ranges.
We are open 9-4 Monday to Friday.
