Age UK Newcastle works to promote the welfare and well-being of all older people in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne and to makelater life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

We provide high quality services and support to all older people in the City of Newcastle, as well as a city-centre base for older people to use to gain help and information. We also have a very popular leisure and learning facility which provides 25 weekly classes ranging from creative writing, IT. arts and crafts, through to more physical activities like keep fit, carpet bowls, Tai Chi and a whole selection of ever-popular dance classes

It has long been recognised that healthy eating and exercise helps to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Having an active social life also contributes to people's wellbeing and alleviates loneliness.
