Salisbury | Housing / Homelessness
At Alabaré we provide the highest standards of accommodation & support to disadvantaged & vulnerable people in our communities to enable them to lead fulfilling lives. We provide housing & support based on the individual needs & aspirations of each person, tackling underlying causes & giving them the skills & confidence to move forward. We are passionate about helping to eliminate homelessness and social exclusion - giving everyone the chance to live a fulfilling life.
Why the community needs usWe support people in the local community. Providing homes and services for those already homeless or under the threat of homelessness, people suffering with mental ill-health and those living with learning disabilities. We also support people in their own home with floating support and training services to assist them with things like budgeting and tenancy issues.
Our impact on the communitySome of our successes from 2012-13. Last year we helped a total of 3,698 people through our homes and services. We housed 326 people in supported accommodation. Our young people services helped 643 people. We provided support and day activities for 346 people helping to improve their mental well-being. Last year our floating housing support teams supported 1,792 people. We now have 13 homes providing specialist support for veterans. Thank you to all our staff, volunteers & supporters.
