The Aldingbourne Trust is a West Sussex charity supporting people with learning and physical disabilities to reach their full potential. The Trust supports about 500 people with learning/ physical disabilities and provides them with opportunities to live independently with support; to get involved in a large range of activities; and, to gain the necessary training for future employment. The Trust has a strong ethos to help people to help themselves. It runs a number of Social Enterprises.
Why the community needs usOur social enterprises include an Open Farm, a Cafe, Conference Facilities, a Plant Nursery, and a Woodland Walk with childrens' play activities. We welcome visitors seven days a week to our Country Centre where they will have an enjoyable visit as well as supporting the Trust in giving adults with learning disabilities real life work and training experiences.
Our impact on the community*Last year we helped 389 adults with disabilities get a job or become work ready. *Our social enterprises at our Country Centre near Chichester, in Bognor Regis and Pulborough enabled us to support adults with disabilities with real life experiences. We welcome visitors throughout the year enabling them to have a positive experience with us. * Powerful Trainers is an enterprise which raises awareness around disability. Our trainers - all with disabilities, gave talks throughout West Sussex.
