Alina is a new classical orchestra, which serves the areas of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.The orchestra’s three focus areas are:

• To perform high quality concerts to communities who have little or no access to classical music
• To facilitate a programme of outreach activities within each region, which will focus primarily on mental health including those living with dementia.
• To work with the local community, form partnerships with other local organisations and create interesting music-related projects that are based on what communities 'need'

Alina will work with each of its communities, 'breaking boundaries' to serve a broad range of people, participants, audiences and artists and will develop the orchestra’s delivery on stage and within the community.The orchestra is committed to promoting accessible events, and maintaining an inclusive profile. These events will provide audiences with the opportunity to engage with the orchestra, at the lowest cost possible.Alina will nurture a strong sense of community through the events it delivers, giving audiences and participants a feeling of pride and wellbeing in the creative achievement. It’s activities will seek to develop relationships with local communities and the strong sense of ownership which is core to the orchestra’s philosophy.
