Allsorts Youth Project is a Sussex-based charity that listens to, support and connects children & young people who are lesbian, gay, bi, trans and/or exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity (LGBT+).
Since 1999, we have offered a range of holistic and person-centered services with a three-pronged approach:
Direct Specialist Youth Services (including youth groups and one-to-one support)
Family Support Services for parents/carers of trans/gender-exploring children & young people
Training & Education services to the wider community so that all spaces can be safer and more inclusive for LGBT+ people
"Having a community of trans people my own age has been amazing, especially whilst there have been lockdowns and limited social contact." - Allsorts Young Person

Make new friends and take part in fun and informal learning activities
Feel better connected to a community of supportive and understanding peers and LGBT+ adult role models
Increase self-confidence, resilience and sense of belonging
Access one-to-one support sessions to talk openly about challenges they may be facing surrounding their LGBT+ identity
"The staff at Allsorts are also super helpful and supportive. They have been amazing when I have been struggling with my mental health." - Allsorts Young Person
Our impact on the community Alongside our core youth services, our holistic approach provides support, information, advice and guidance to families of LGBT+ children & young people, and training & education to the wider community. It is central to our mission that all spaces are safer and more inclusive for LGBT+ children & young people and with over 20 years of experience, we know the difference it can make.
"Firstly, Allsorts saved my son's life. It helped give me and my family information about being transgender. Allsorts helped me and my family not feel lonely on this long journey, knowing they are just there helps us more than words can say." - Allsorts Parent
