Northampton | Counselling, Advice & Mentoring
Always A Chance was established in memory of James Cooper and James Kouzaris who were tragically murdered whilst on holiday in Sarasota, Florida on April 16th 2011. The charity aims to create a legacy for both men by supporting victims of violent crime whilst removing the endemic social causes which lead to violence and criminality amongst young people.
Why the community needs usOur charitable activity focuses on Northants and Warwickshire. We support the local community by funding projects which work with young people who are either not in full time education or employment or have recently left custodial care, with the aim of providing them with a platform to re-enter the educational system or take the first steps into the world of employment. In addition, we provide funding for projects which provide supportive services to victims of violent crime.
Our impact on the communityOur prevention projects are divided into 2 main strands: 180 Projects and individual mentoring. The primary aim of our 180 Projects is to confront the individual with the consequences of actions and to instil a personal belief that they can make a conscious and positive decision as to how they live their life. Our mentoring service provides bespoke support and guidance for all graduates of the 180 scheme with the aim of leading them back into education and training or into employment.
