Apex is a St Helens, Merseyside based charity working with local people aged 18 and over. Our service is specifically for people whose actions or behaviours have led to negative consequences for themselves and others, enabling them to make positive choices and turn their lives around. We provide training and education to individuals to prevent them from entering into criminal activity and working towards making our community a safe place to live.

Why the community needs us
In January 2020, we launched Plan Bee community coffee shop and our community space - The Hive. We provide education & employment for members of the local community within & our women's Hub. The Hive offers free workshops around health & well-being which the local community are encouraged to attend. We will have a friendship scheme to help reduce isolation and support the development of positive relationship.

Our impact on the community
We provide training and work experience for up to 60 individuals per per year, however the number of people attending our health and well-being workshops and friendship scheme will be much greater. We expect to have both hard and soft outcomes these include people securing paid employment and/or training,gaining qualifications, improving employability, improved mental health, feeling more connected to people in their community, reduced levels of stress and promote financial security.
