Why the community needs usThe work engages directly with the community to produce a wide range of projects and events combining the visual & performing arts. The charity acts as a resource for schools and other community groups supplying information and specialist advice and a program of seminars and workshops.
Our impact on the communityIn 2011 and 2012 Artemis have partnered twenty nine other creative groups in presenting music, local artists, theatrical groups, schools workshops and further work with the Universities of Brighton and Sussex. Films about the Flood in Lewes and Tom Paine were featured in a BBC event connected to the Local History programme 'The Great British Story' staged in Lewes in June. As well as arts festivals Artemis runs workshops, training sessions and events throughout the year.
